CECA promotes the positive contribution that the civil engineering industry makes to the nation. The Industry is an integral part of the economy and CECA members construct and maintain national infrastructure which is fundamental to both the social and economic needs of the country.

CECA’s current membership is in excess of 350 civil engineering companies which range in size from large and well-known national names to the medium and smaller sized company which may operate at a more regional level. CECA members account for 75-80% of the civil engineering workload undertaken in Great Britain. CECA members account for close to a fifth of all construction output, with the annual value of their works rising towards £20 billion.

The Construction Products Association represents the UK’s manufacturers and suppliers of construction products components and fittings. It acts as the voice of the construction products sector representing the industry-wide view of its members.

The products sector has an annual turnover of more than £40 billion and accounts for 40% of total construction output.

CIRIA is a member-based research and information organisation dedicated to improvement in the construction industry. Our members include representatives from all parts of the supply chains of the modern built environment, covering building and civil engineering as well as transport and utilities infrastructure.

CIRIA’s work is recognised as being independent, objective and authoritative.
